Quick Start Your CanoeImage
Quick Start Your Canoe is designed for the novice paddler or the individual that's not sure if they are ready to buy. This class is designed to introduce you to basic paddling skills and water safety, on flat water.  It will help you in understanding the differences in canoes and help you make an informed decision on your purchases. If you don't own a canoe yet or are unsure of which one you would like to buy this course is for you.

Introduction to Canoeing

Introduction to Canoeing is designed to be a course on entry-level paddling in quiet water techniques and safety, on quiet flat water. This class is more in depth than our Quick Start course and provides more time for practicing strokes, maneuvers, and rescues. We will spend about 3 hours on the water practising skills. If you already own a canoe this class will give you a sound foundation to build on.

Essentials to River Canoeing
The course is designed to give the student the necessary tools needed to travel down a moving river (up to Class I) from point A to point B, either sitting or kneeling. They will be presented with information on river hazards and features, strokes and basic skills such as catching a large eddy, doing a gentle ferry, Great for camps, groups or individuals that want to do day trips down easy moving water rivers up to Class I.  We will spend part of the day in a class room and then head out to a local river to practise our skills.
