new kayak plans - 2007/01/21 23:09 Finally got my new plans for my hopefully new kayak for this coming summer. It's the Disco Bay from Laughing Loon kayaks. Do a quick web search for plans. It's a very skinny (not sure I'll fit <g> greenland style kayak that's strip planked. Think I'll build a skin on frame version first to make sure I'll actually fit before I commit to strip planking.

Re:new kayak plans - 2007/10/10 17:52 Wow! That's a beautiful boat. I'm wondering if you have made any progress on this project since your last post. At $7200 for a finished boat, I can sure see why you would want to build your own. Please give us the latest info on your progress. It's certainly a project worth doing and one that any kayaker would find interesting IMHO.

Thanks!

Re:new kayak plans - 2007/10/24 09:21 Hi,

The Disko Bay is virtually done, still needs final varnishing and rigging. Have had it out paddling though. Very nice boat, much more manuverable than I'd thought.

Now to figure out how to post pictures, or links here.

Re:new kayak plans - 2007/10/26 12:40 Yeah, I'd love to see some photos of your Disko Bay boat.

I can probably give you some help with posting links and photos if you want the help, otherwise I'll keep my suggestions to myself.

Here's a link to my web page:

This message board seems to work like most of the other message boards I've used when it comes to posting links and photos. When you click on "post a reply" or "new message" links, a new window will appear. There is a row of icons just below the "topic icon" row. Roll your mouse pointer over these icons and look at the grey bar just below them for an example of how to use different coding to post an image or link, format type, and other functions of this message board. If you need more help just post here or shoot me a message.
